Val Jean Burns

 

Val Jean Burns,76, a former resident of 141 Ross Street, and a science instructor in the City School District preceding his retirement in June, 1967, died at 6:50 a.m. today, February 6, 1980, at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo. Death followed a lengthy illness.

 

Mr Burns, who began his career  with the City School District in September, 1929, was born in Barre, July 6, 1903, a son of Squire and Anna Addison Burns.

 

Surviving are a brother, Charles of 400 East Main St.; nieces and nephews.

 

There will be no calling hours. Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Millville Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be made  to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were completed by H.E. Turner & Company Inc. Mortuary.
