Miss Mary L. O'Brien, Teacher and Guidance Counselor

Miss Mary L. O'Brien, 78, of 109 Grandview Terrace, a retired teacher and guidance counselor at Batavia Junior High School, died Friday morning, March 26, 1982 at home.  Death was attributed to natural causes.

Born in Batavia July 19, 1902, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret Crehan O'Brien. She was retired in 1966. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, its Rosary and Altar Society, Women of the Moose, St. Jerome Hospital Guild, Retired Teachers Associatoin, and Court of St. Rita's Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include cousins, Mrs. Helen Diegelman of 127 Summit Street and Mrs. Rita Lattime of 129 Summit Street.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Bohm Mortuary, where services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 at St. Joseph's Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
